I hated Buffalo. But I have to give them credit...they are a hard working crew. And I like that.


Since Ottawa is a Canadian team and I hate Buffalo, I wanted to cheer for the Sens...but I have found myself cheering for that Buffalo team...go figure. And now they are up 3-0.


I used to follow the habs even more than I do now...I noticed Buffalo dressed a defensman named Rory Fitzpatrick tonight...was he not drafted by the habs in the second round 6-7 years ago? I recall thinking he had the size and skill to be pretty good. If it's the same guy...

Buffalo has a solid team. Habs are somewhat similar but Buffalo really has clicked in every aspect unlike the Habs. I just love Afinogenov. I wish the Habs could get him. He would fit in perfect. i hope its Buffalo vs Colorado for the finals but the Avs dont look so good.

yes its the same guy and hes just as bad now as he was then .should be in the minors but buffalo plays a system that can cover up for him .

If Lindy Ruff is not chosen as coach of the year then there is something horribly wrong

Just to think, the last time a Buffalo coach won coach of the year, he was blackballed my the NHL (ref. Ted Nolan).

As for Afinogenov.
Yeah, he sure looks great, creates a million chances.
And he's playing in the perfect system for him.

But really...he reminds me way too much of certain misfiring Habs (Bulis comes to mind). Afinogenov is like the latest version of Russ Courtnall, or Shean Donovan...he looks great, but he is not a great finisher. Nor is he tough.

Good player but we already have guys like that.
Watch out for Bulis if he ends up on a team like Buffalo. Seriously.
Right system for him.
