Was wondering if anyone has been watching. I noticed that Claude Julien is one of the assistant coaches for team Canada, good for him and good for the team. I give alot ot credit to the guys who answer the call and go represent their country in a tourney that doesn't get alot of meaning over here. Nothing but respect for guys like Shanahan, who at his age has nothing to compete for, but to play for his country is awesome. Glad to see guys like Robidas get a chance to play for their country when the Olympic team wouldn't even think of him. I like Robidas and I personally think the new NHL is good for him. He doesn't have the size or punishing hitting style, but his skating is very good and he keep up to the offensive players flying down the wings and use great body postioning to fend guys off. Good for Crosby and Bergeron, young superstars who could of took off during the off season and spent some times with their friends, instead they answer the bell and give something back to Hockey Canada. Nothing but admiration for those fellows, thanks for representing Canada and Good luck.
I always liked Robidas and Bouillon. Maybe I think people are over-impressed with towering defensemen who can't skate (cf. Philadelphia). I'm glad we kept Bouillon at least...
Sid the kid did his stuff and we got walloped 7-1...I was hoping we would be put up a better showing , but tomorrows game against Denmark is the only one that really matters for us. Yes,it was nice to see our coach Roy Johansen shaking hands with CJ after the game...
