My friend just told me that a Habs defenseman slammed the Redwings when asked if he was surprised with Detroit's first round upset after winning the President's Cup. The supposed Hab said that when a team gets more than half their points by playing farm teams (reference to Columbus, Chicago, and St Loius) it isn't a big shock to see Detroit get bounced in the first round.
Does anyone know who this Hab D is or if this is true?

I have no idea if this is true, but if so, the logical guess would be ex-Red Wing Mathieu Dandenault.

I can't see a Habs defenceman coming out and saying that. There's no reason to do it and it will only cause trouble. But if anyone, it would be Dandenault. I can't imagine any of the other players having any reason to speak to the media about that.
i never heard that quote but i did hear downey kinda ripping them , he stated he liked the mixture and chemestry in the room (montreal)and said it goes along way to being sussessful , then he stated look at detriot something about their mix(too much talent ,not enuf heart) that didnt fit and see what happened to them . this is only a paraphrase of what i remember from his interview a day after montreal were eliminated .
