Ryder played pretty much all season with a herniated disc. Had the Habs not been in the playoff hunt, he would have taken some games off to let it heal. The good news is that there is no surgery required, and he should be 100% after the summer.
I have acquired new respect for a player who had been one of my favourites already for two years. (This is Nil d talking, not the article).

thx niller , in hindsight he didnt look right , now with that in mind he did score 30 but his point were down(55 from 63)and his plus minus dropped (+10 to -5)how much of a raise can he likely demand .
