...land a legitimate and bonafide number one centreman PERIOD


No more Jim Dowd experiments...no more Radek Bonk fill-in's...no more resorting to sticking Steve Begin on the top line because of one injury...no more waiting around for three or four "cookie cutter" centremen to develop into something usable on a daily basis!


Saku Koivu is here for 3 years ~ GET THE GUY SOME HELP ALREADY!!!


This is the first off-season of the salary capped era!  So, not only is there potential in the UFA market...but also in the "requires a change of address" pile!!!  Just for example, Datsyuk might get tossed from Detroit...Keith Primeau might get his head on straight and become available.


The bottomline though is that this team is going nowhere without a big Ace centreman!!!  A LeCavalier, a Thornton, a Richards, a young Roenick, a Primeau, a Brind'Amour, etc, etc, etc,....


Bob Gainey just needs to get a deal done!!!

I will have lost alot of faith in Gainey if he doesn't get us that big top-two center.
