Really summarises our season eh? What a rollercoaster. I think the team is looking good. Tomas Plekanecs looked amazing during the series, although he didn't produce as much as I would have liked, his presence was defenitly noticed. Zednik also looked good too, but he just seemed to be missing the right chemistry to finish his plays. I think we're only a few additions away from struggling to make the playoffs, to getting in comfortably, and making some noise.

Pleks is a 3rd-liner who could become a 2nd-liner. He is very good without the puck and good with it, with some nice speed to add to the mix, but don't expect him to score much more than a .6 or.7 clip at his best. He is a poor-man's Koivu and I am glad we have him on our team.

Pleks is part of the future in Montreal. He will only get better. But I think that what And-O said regarding Begin being our number one center hit the nail on the head. I am positive that center ice is top of Bob Gainey's list and he will address it asap. Followed by a stud dman. Did it hurt losing Koivu? Duhhhh of course. But Carolina did not fall apart after losing Eric Cole (Doug Weight certainly did nothing to replace him). We are soffffffff..pfft. Koivu is th eonly legitimate NHL center we have right now. Pleks is getting there but he is a year or so away before he has that consistency.
