Far be it from me to use Don Cherry to back up one of my arguments, but............
I stated a few days ago that when a defenseman broke a stick while on the PK, the forward should not give him his stick. It made more sense to me that the guy who was pressuring the point men (i.e., a forward) needed his stick more than the defenseman who could still clear the crease area without a stick. The forward trying to pressure the point man, on the other hand, is pretty much useless without a stick (Begin's heroics one night notwithstanding).
All of you jumped on me and disagreed - not that there's anything wrong with that! - but at least Don Cherry agrees with me!

No arguments here, you never saw this garbage with wooden sticks...maybe Sourey should hook up with Sherwood for a hybrid stick! All the advantages of composite with all the strength of wood!

You could say The Curse of Brisebois cost us this series (remember that PP OT goal?).
I guess he's laughing now.............
