Just so long as the crack of And-o’s arse points straight to the ground from underneath a Habs jersey…and bear’s crap in the woods…and salmon swim upstream to spawn and die…and just so long as babies are born…no Montreal Canadiens team lead by the likes of Bob Gainey will ever lose four playoff games in a row!!!
THERE WILL BE A GAME SEVEN! IT WILL HAPPEN!!!
(P.S. And-o couldn’t care less about whose knee is sore…who is tired…who might want more money…who wants a trade…who hasn’t played well…or who will or won’t be able to dress! Nor does And-o give a rumpled rat’s rear-end about who scores the goals…who gets the assists…who kills penalties or who plays on power-plays.)

For the most part, I agree that there should be no excuses in the playoffs. It's a 4 out of seven series. Teams have the time to adapt and overcome. I too still have faith BUT 4 goals in the last 3 games? Huet has been mugged all series and he still managed to keep us in the game. Let's imagine if Huet had just one "Off" game...we would be talking about next season.
Ando, what stresses me is that I know that the Habs could do. They've proven that they can match up to the Canes anyday, if they make adjustments and play to their top potential.
And-O It is simply a matter of which Habs team shows up tonite. Will it be the team that won 8 in a row, including 2 key wins against the Leafs, to put themselves in the playoffs, the team that came out in carolina for game one and part of game two on fire, or will it be the team we have seen for the last 3 games and who limped into the playoffs?
Like you, no excuses. This is gut check time. My Bantam AAA team won a New Brunswick Championship this year. We had to win our last 2 games without our Captain and 40 goal scorere and our top defenceman. But the other kids in the dressingroom stepped up! Tonite is all about pride, not excuses. Tonite will tell alot about who deserves to be in this lineup next year and who should be playing in Toronto with the rest of the bums. This team needs to come out on fire from the drop of the puck. Do NOT allow Carolina to dictate the game from the opening faceoff like they did the last 2 games (4 shots in the first minute). Montreal needs to dictate the flow and tempo from the start. We need an attitude of THERE IS NO WAY YOU ARE GONNA END OUR SEASON IN OUR HOUSE!
If I were Bob Gainey I would start the 4th line and bang and crash right off the bat. Dump the puck in and pound anything that moves. For only then will Carolina start thinking "hmmm.looks like we are in for a tough time tonite".

Ando it is our part to cheer and hope that they'll win. But its their part to play and battle hard, which you all might want to shot me but, i think this series was done when Koivu went down!! I am sorry to say that. This team just doesnt look like a playoff team. No leaders and no players stepping up but a handfull.

I thought that guy in your avatar juggling the soccer ball was finished but he turned it around and stepped it up the playoffs. I disagree players will always surprise you. They're like humans, almost.
Ando, I'm with you. No way will we lose tonight. Everyone, even Ribs will step it up, and Carolina will feel like they were hit by a hurricane in their sleep! The Christowall is up, Kovy will be pivoting like Tonya harding with a tire iron, and everyone else will step up. In my dreams I see Saks skating out with a full face and a mean attitude! GO HABS GO SEE YOU IN GAME 7 MO MENTUM WILL BE IN THE HOUSE!
You know what's crazy - normally I'd say we'll know in the first 5 minutes whether or not the Habs came to play - but this team is not like that - they could come out like they're wearing galoshes, have Huet face a barrage of shots - we all think they're toast - and at the 10 minute mark a whole new squad appears.
If we ever needed a 60 minute effort, we need it tonight! Right from the get go! I don't want to see any stupid penalties like dumping it over the glass. The Canes love playing with the man advantage; it's how they get most of their goals. So let's stay 5 on 5, forecheck hard and force THEM to take the penalties. With a solid effort, there's no reason we can't win this!

Right on Jedah! The time for excuses is over. Souray, I have talked all year about what a good leader you are..time to show I am right....Get 'Er Done Boys!!!
