I just wanted to say thanks to Huet for giving us a chance to win every game. Nobody has payed much attention to him, but without him the series would have been over a long time ago. It is too bad that he is being overshadow by Ward because he has really played magnificant. To quote Bob Gainey: "He was excellent right from the beginning" (Montreal Gazette).
He has put up with so much in this series - the Canes crashing his net time after time (and no penalties being called), his own Dmen screening him, the Canes shooting the puck into his net after the ref has clearly blown the whistle, and his own Dmen abandoning him on some of the Carolina goals and leaving him to fend for himself (ex: Game 5).
He has truly been nothing less then amazing and has really battle through all the adversity in this series.
If it wasn't for him and his heroics, we would have surely lost the last three games by more then one goal margins.
I haven't forgotten Huet's heroics, he's given us a chance the last 3 games that the boys chose not to take. He was solid last night and in my opinion has only played 1 shaky game this series (I wish the rest of the team could say that)
Huet has been brilliant. And what makes me the happiest is the fact that nobody really feels the need to talk about him? And why not? Because we've watched him for half a season and so we all know what he brings to the table. The guy keeps us in every game. Theodore singlehandedly lost us many games this season. On the contrary, I don't think I can name a single occasion where Huet was the reason we lost. We're really lucky to have a goalie like this who keeps us in every game. I say it's about time for the guys to reward him with a stellar effort all around!
