First of all, thank you NorskiPaul for asking abaout my dear old Mom.  She's almost 89 and in great shape!

As for Sainte Lorette, yes, there are many newbies who are not familiar with the Patron Saint of the Montreal Canadiens.  It started like this:

I posted a post a few years ago about my Grade 9 home room teacher, Sister Lorette Doucet.  She was a sweet old thing, and a huge Habs fan.  She  told us that she would pray for the Habs to win.  And I was in Grade 9 (only one year, thank you gery much) in 1971, the year they unexpectedly won the Stanley Cup behind Ken Dryden's heroics.

In reply to my post, Cleghorn noted that Sister Lorette was likely deceased by now, and had surely ascended to Heaven.  So on that assumption, a fair one, I would think - a pious Hab fanatic; where else would she go?! - we dubbed her the Patron Sant of the team.

We need her interventions now...............
