would it happen to another team if bad calls were made which cost you the game or you lossed your captain and no penalty was called, the media ( tsn,cbc....) has acted like it was no big deal! if it happened to ottawa or toronto, the media would be after blood and that would be all over the airwaves on how the refs blew it, don cherry would be talking about it for days! BUT, it happened to montreal, so what do the media say" the canes have found their game" " the canes goalie is hot". the only people hot is habs fans and the only game the canes found was to cry to the refs!! MONTREAL will show everyone friday where the canes game is when  they beat them! soon be on the golf course!!

i agree with you completely..... it seems as if the habs are always the ones getting screwed, and nobody cares.  not even the refs.  WHY?????????

It looks like it's only the Habs to you because as Habs fans you likely only watch Habs game. Every team falls victim to bad reffing. I mean seriously, do you think Marouelli or Koharski turn in to great refs after they blow a hab game because they're in another rink? Nope, a crappy ref is a crappy ref no matter where he refs or who he refs.

Exactly!   What if it were Mats Sundin and not Saku.  What would have the reaction been?

Well, I guess the Flames & Oilers could argue that the refs had a hand in them losing tonight. Craig McTavish was pissed in his post game interview at the same refs who screwed the Oilers twice down the final stretch and got them again tonight. The Flames lost in overtime while killing a very questionable late third period penalty.

I really miss the let them play style of playoff reffing. It worked really well for a lot of decades. These 8-2, 6-1 scores are not playoff hockey games and are the direct result of excessive penalties. Guess that's what happens when you have a New York lawyer who hasn't got a clue about the game running the show. Screw tradition, huh Gary...$$$$$$$$$$$$$
