why doesnt Gainey, at least in OT, send out our Power, power play unit??? We had three PP in OT where he could of put a great Unit together to end that thing!!
That's a reasonable question. I guess he figure's to keep the units together is better than breaking them apart. It would be harder to put them back together after the PP was over...

In fairness to Gainey, I suspect that he was as worried about defensive zone coverage as much as scoring. You want to go with the same rotation as much as possible that late in the game as legs are getting tired. I would actually do the same thing in that situation.

He was definately worried about a defensive breakdown. I probably would of been a little cautious too.
