Diagnoses: Severely Swollen Canoles

Treatment: Same as barry33's post vasectomy. Refrain from sex and keep a bag of frozen peas on the affected area. Fortunately barry33 was married to his ex wife at the time and refraining was not an issue.

I hate the Canes almost as much as the Leafs.  Some one needs to tell these clowns that this is HOCKEY.  There are no cheer leaders in HOCKEY!  You don't tail gate party in HOCKEY!  And worst of all you sell out every game in the playoffs,  my god, should they even have a team in Rally?

You know..years ago Ihad a cup of tea in the East Coast League down there...and have been to a Canes game. I can tell you that with all due respect there are no more ignorant fans of hockey on the face of the planet. I am positive that fans of that league that Theo Fleury plays in Ireland are more knowledgeable. Watching the game last night I had to laugh out loud at the fans reacting to every little thing that even remotely resembled a penalty.

Bettman wanted hockey in such hotbeds as Nashville and Carolina..and this is what you are stuck with. Fans that think that "icing" is what was on their morning cupcake. Now as far as the cheerleaders go...shut your mouth!!

I remember when the Atlanta Flames first got a franchise (now mercifully moved to Calgary).  The fans at first were cheering an icing play, thinking it was somehow a form of "touchdown"!

I have not been to any playoff games in Carolina, but Nashville is a different story. True, it is not a traditional hockey market, but it is an awesome place to see a game. I've been 8-10 times over the past few years and it is a nice facility, well located in the center of the city nightlife, and the freakin cowboys love it.

Now,

Souray looked like he took one in the junk. When I played high school hockey, we had a kid take a slap shot in the johnson. His left nuticle swelled to the size of yer fist and was eventually amputated. No joke. He missed a year of hockey. Sheldon is a professional athelete and more likely to be able to take a big shot. But, we are all equal in so much as what a pair of orbs can take. It appeared he was puking on the bench. That is NOT a good sign. If the injury is serious, it is serious.

Junk?  Johnson? Nuticle? Orbs?  Are these medical terms?

Why cant you tailgate before a hockey game.  If the laws weren't so strick up here, tailgating is a great idea.  I went to see the Sens and Devils (in Ottawa) for game 5 about 3 years ago, they had a tailgate before the game.  It was great.   One of the big attractions in the NFL is the tailgating.  Yes, I realize it gets extremely cold up here for a few months but I see nothing wrong with people tailgating before a hockey game.  It would add to the excitement of the whole experience of seeing a hockey game. As long as people drink responsible.

I guess one man's cajones are another man's canolis! Let's hope that Souray is back in action (of all kinds) soon, and that the Canes get their just desserts.

I used to go to Los Angeles to watch the odd game in the early 90's. I remember one game in particular were they were hosting Les Habitant in late December, the fans were litterally calling for the refs heads each time the Kings were called for icing or obvious offsides. I never realizedvfans could be so clueless about the game. Imagine paying hard earned money to go watch a game you didn't even understand !

Wellllll..not that I am one to brag..but the reason I had to retire from hockey was because I was having a problem finding custom made "full equipment". My last year I was forced to use a satellite dish and it was just not practical.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but because of the team I hate it.  More of a Carolina hatred than anything else.  You know what the worst thing is, I used to like the Whalers a little.  Plus, isn't drink responsibly an oxy-moron?

And back to regularly scheduled programming:

From Sportsnet:

April 25, 2006
Souray likely for Game 3

Montreal defenceman Sheldon Souray is day-to-day with a contusion (lower body). There is a good chance he will play on Wednesday.

Steve Begin (knee) also skated for the first-time since the injury occurred back on April 10, but the centreman is still nowhere near returning.

It will be a big teste for him, but if he plays, this one's in the bag!

But at least Sack-oooh!, Ballis, and Danglin'out will be there to help him when he returns. He might want to avoid Bonk for a while, though...
