question about quarter finals

assuming the habs win the first round  who would they play in round number 2?  tampa/sens, devils/rangers or the sabres? (flyers are more or less done  lets face it...  2 blow outs in 2 games)

I'm pretty sure it goes by season end standings, with top playing bottom

maybe I'm wrong

i THOUGHT it was 1/8 plays 2/7   and 3/6 play 4/5    but im not sure     cuz i would really like to play the sens or tampa...   since it looks like the devils and sabres are HOT and will be takin those series

Brooklyn's right. If Ottawa wins and we win, we play Ottawa. But if Carolina wins, they wouldn't play Ottawa; instead they would play the 2nd lowest remaining team.

IF Ottawa wins we play them. If Tampa Bay wins we play New Jersey, assuming they win. Either way, nothing to get too happy about.


Anyway, we're only up 2-0. Let's win game 3!

2nd round all teams get re-ordered based on their regular season overall records.  top team plays worst (remaining), and other two teams play each other. Home iced dependant on where they finished in the standings.

Either way i hope habs take on ottawa, cause if habs take them out too then they took out the 2 top teams in the eastern confrence. If that were o happen then there would be a high chance  to take the cup, mainly from the HUGE moral boost. but im getting to far ahead. whatever happens happens.
