You are insane!  He's playing a great game.  He was totally responsible for that second goal.

Sorry Nilsey..you know I am not a Koivu basher but to say he has played a great game is as wrong as Saku 11 saying he has been terrible. Koivu has been pretty much non-existent out there although I will give him credit on improving on face-offs againts Brindamour. Certainly this is NOT the Koivu we saw 2 years ago dominate Joe Thornton.

Come on Nil??????? are you serious......how was he responsible???? the puck deflected off of him!!!!! I saying he needs to control the play a little more and take control of his line on the ice and carry the puck up and make the plays.....we have ryder and higgins trying to do that. they are not the playmakers on this line....Saku is.

Johnm, i really not trying to bash anyone but he is totally inexistent right now!! He is trying too hard to play a rough game....He needs to let gis skill take over! let MUrray or Komi do the hitting.

Saku won the faceoff by outmuscling Brindamour (I think that's who it was) and passed the puck to the point, which started the whole play.

Don't tell me I'm wrong on that one.

I'm not a Saku worshipper, and he's playing OK, not great; but for you to say he's "totally inexistent" was not right either.

I do agree with you Nil'd about the great face-off win by Koivu. But...I will reluctantly admit that I have found Brindy to be outplaying Koivu tonight. I really thought he looked slow a few times tonight...in fact I think he was slow last game but was so technically sound.

So was Koivu that good or was brindy off in game one?

Still Koivu in OT

Yes Johnm...a prophet. I sent old koivu the "evileye" and he pulled through like a true captain...but I still hope he plays better next game

How about we all just Cheer for the Habs and not get going on the negatives about the players. Yes, we all have the right to post our opinions, but lets stay positive and enjoy the win  Thanks  DavidB

Well, Brind'amour is a superior player!  He should normally have the edge.  For Saku to win over 50% of the faceoffs against him is a big plus for the boys.

The one I worried about was Markov.  He looked really tired out there, and has not played up to his standards for a little while now, IMHO.  Even his shot from the point looks weak.

Nonetheless - we won, so let's stay positive!

And he was out there longer than anyone too. I noticed him miss a couple of his patented "keep it in the zone" moves. Looked a little pale and sweaty, too. Maybe a 24 hour bug...

He'll be back in shape back home....
