Expect the real Carolina Hurricanes tonight!

...batten down the hatches, cuz there is a storm coming!

And-o's stomach is just boiling with nerves right now!!!

Anyone else think that the Habs are gonna have a pant load to deal with tonight???

...Gainey's message to the boys before the game tonight should be posed in the form of a simple question..."Gentlemen, from Carolina's perspective, what would this series look like if we could sneak outta here after a win tonight???"

Im with you and-o. Carolina is shell shocked right now and NEED to win this game if they want to kill the momentum for montreal coming back home. ( or at elast some of it ) Its hard not to get up for a playoff game in montreal. If montreal takes this game, i SERIOSULY think a 4 game sweep IS possible. But lets take it a game at a time!!! GO HABS GO

It will be interesting.  Hopefully we keep them out of the scoring lanes like last game.  If we keep them outside like that it will be another blow out.  If not, could be trouble.  But we do have 2 things they don't.   Huet and Kovalev.

Sorry boys - I'm not saying it'll be a cakewalk but why is it the other guys we fear will bring character and effort to the game?

It's the Habs (in particular Huet) who showed character and effort after being down 1-0 in the other guys rink, less than a minute in, against a team they hadn't beaten all year.

Let those buggers worry about what the Habs are bringing tonight and let their fans deal with the butterflies.

Habs win tonight.

Like that positive spirit. I wonder if Gerber is capable of meeting the challenge. You gotta admit, he stunk last game...meanwhile Huet was...brilliant...

If the habs can keep the shots against down to 30-35 and fire around 30 at Gerber...habs win.

Just heard on Pulse news that Gerber said he had the stomach flu on game one day. He said he lost 12 pounds.... Interesting.

Lost 12 pounds in one day? That ain't no flu....that's a tumor. I recommend a night in the infirmiry for further evaluation.

Exactly what I was thinking.  They did what I said they should do and that was to get into Gerber's head.  And, bam.  9 goals in 4 periods.  And if the real Carolina needs multiple 5-on-3s to score, then that speaks for itself.

The storm was a nit late coming boys..second period..but it is here. Anyone who discounts the value of goaltending in the playoffs need only watch this game. If Ward had started the game for Canes the score would have only been 1-0 after one. Not only wa sGerber terrible in both games but he completely killed any momentum for carolina.

Ward goes in, makes some saves..and begins the storm. Uncle Mo is in the house.

Question is: who are the real Hurricanes? It's unclear at this point.

Both teams taking dumb undisciplined penalties. Can this be the playoffs?
