On NHL>COM's homepage, they've posted all the the 1st round match ups and included a one line description on what to expect. Here what they they posted for the Canes vs Habs - "The Hurricanes face a dangerous first-round opponent in the Canadiens."...


In addition, they have what they named a "Quick Poll" question. They ask, Which Estern Conference Quarterfinal matchup is most likely to produce an upset? So far, at 38%, people have answered that the Canes vs. Habs series will create an upset. Hmmm I'm glad to see that others believe that the Habs have a shot.

I feel some momentum growing on this Board and elsewhere.  Now, if that could only somehow translate to the dressing room....................

I've also heard that a newspaper in toronto has picked montreal. The Ottawa citizen has Montreal in 7. Sportsnet, one of the guys says montreal in 6.  Maggie...(the stupid monkey off TSN ) however went with Carolina...it also took tampa and detroit...i think shes anti-canadian...


Either way...im HOPING for an upset...but brain is saying....not likely...

More than 65 000 people took part in that poll...and most of those believe the Habs are most likely to come the winners. Let's keep the positive thinking going.

Alexander Ovechkin has picked montreal to beat Carolina. Well Carolina will take the monkey i prefer the endorsment of the Russian.

Ovechkin believe it or not had his own part also PUTTING us in the playoffs. He socred the winning goal that ultimately burried the thrashers this year. HAd the thrashers won we would be on the outside looking in right now.
