I read that in the paper this morning.  Here's what will happen:

In the first couple of games, the refs (especially idiots like Fraser and Koh-arse-ki) will call every little thing and ruin the flow of the games.  Then gradually over the next week, the whistles will go silent, to the point that absolutely nothing is called (like every playoff year), interspersed by the odd call at the worst time that decides the game.

And the Big Tough Commissioner will do nothing about it.
