Guitar and percussion (Djembe mostly) and vocals, all at a moderate level. I won't be making any CDs soon, but my students like to listen, so that is good enough!
I play a bit of acoustic guitar - I can do a credible job on old Dylan and Lightfoot gems (basically simple four-chord arrangements ........... C F G Am C F G Am C F G Am C F G Am ..........)
But you would not want to hear me sing..........

We need an inspirational rock song to spur on the Caps tomorrow night verses Thrashers. Go Caps Go! AB is not much of a song writer but can sure play a mean set of drums. Anyone else play an intrument? OK boys...I don't want to hear you play the organ keyboard and piano is acceptable though.
It's Easter Monday & everything is closed.... nothin' better to do then rewrite a classic.
I'll get started now Hopefully the superstition lives on for a team that isn't the Habs.
Sorry about the "me" references... I couldn't come up with anything to fit!
I love the Cap-i-tals
(Formerly I Love Rock N' Roll)
So, I sit here as a Habs fan stuck in between, to keep us in I have to root for your team keep the heat goin' strong pushing Atlanta along & I could tell it wouldn't be long Till he was scorin', for me, (yeah me) singin'
I love the Cap-i-tals Send another Trasher to the"P" box, baby I love the Cap-i-tals Come on Ovechkin score another three
He smiled as I got up and shouted out his name it don't matter, he said, 'cause it'll end the same
I said can you take this home, shooting it in their zone
And next we were movin' on He did it for me, (yeah me)
Next we were movin' on He did it for me, (yeah me), singin'
I love the Cap-i-tals Send another Trasher to the"P" box, baby I love the Cap-i-tals Come on Ovechkin score at least three
I said can you take this home, shooting it in their zone
Then we'll be movin' on and singin' our playoff song Yeah with me, (yeah me) singin'
I love the Cap-i-tals Send another Trasher to the"P" box, baby I love the Cap-i-tals Come on Ovechkin win this for me

Something you probably would not know unless you were a hopeless rock geek, so no hair-colour-related problem on your end...
Bernie Taupin wrote Lyrics for Elton during his "I'm making decent albums" period, including "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", "Candle in the Wind", "Benny an the Jets", and the incredible "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)"... That's the plus, on the negative side, he wrote "We Built This City" for Starship, truly a low point in lyric writing...
Who counts the money underneath the bar Who rides the wrecking ball in two rock guitars Marconi plays the mamba, listen to the radio, don’t you remember We built this city, we built this city on rock and roll

You're an old timer like me brooky, I remember when Elton's first few albums came out, they were great for the time. He was the king of the rock heap for a few years in the early-mid 70;s for sure. And you're right, Bernie was the heart of Reggie's songwriting!

Im a VERY talented musician. Instruments i can play are as follows
Baritone, Piano, Drums, Trumpet, Tuba, Bass Guitar and i've learned a LITTLE Alto Sax. I recieved The Most Oustanding Intermediate Musician at my school last year, and was also invited to play for the Ontario Honor Band for Baritone.
As some of you know, i will actually be going to halifax in exactly 2 weeks time as our school band will be competing at a festival there. Wish me (us) luck!!
