Le journal the Montréal reported that when asked if the Habs would make the playoffs, Brodeur answered YES.

well since a great portion of the fate of habs playoff hopes lies in brodeurs hands, i sure hopes he is planning on letting in some bad goals!

I can't help but think that Brodeur is a Montreal boy who grew up as a Habs fan, he probably has more Habs fans in his family than Jersey fans...does this guy want to be the one to eliminate the habs???  Also, it would serve NJ's purpose better to make sure Atlanta doesn't make it, those guys are on fire and could be viewed as a threat...Jersey beats Montreal at will.  Just thinking out loud, but who would you rather have in the playoffs if you're Marty & the Devils???

Im curious to if they will even play brodeur....does this game have anythin riding on it at all for them?

Yes!   A win by the Devils coupled with the Rangers losing to Ottawa on Tuesday will give the Devils the Atlantic division title, or 3rd seed in the Eastern conference and home ice advantage in the first round.


Of the games remaining between Montreal, Tampa and Atlanta, Montreal has the toughest opponent.
