Montreals Fate could be decided before we even play tonight

After we eliminated boston from the playoffs ( for the 3rd straight time ) They are who we are cheering for now, in a game against atlanta this afternoon. It is currently tied 2-2 in the second period. Any combination of a overtime loss, shootout loss or regulation loss for atlanta will secure the habs' playoff position. To be honest, id rather montreal take it themselves with a win tonight, but a pot is a spot, and ill take it either way.


Id also like to add how happy i am lately NOT seeing ANY leaf flags on cars around here. The flags are really popular in this area and you see the habs and sens EVERYWHERE. But...not 1 leafs!!! All is right in the world.

Hahaha, Johab I'm at work and I just said the same thing.  I'm soooo happy to not see the Leaf flags on cars and all the paraphanalia...I told my buddy, if the leafs do squek in, the bandwagon will need new axles

might seem odd, but i'm cheering for atlanta, for the sole reason that it lessens the leafs' chances of making it in.   who cares about atlanta making points, the habs are getting in no problem.

Well, Atlanta won so we haven't clinched just yet. Who could count on Boston to do us any favors anyway?

And as a side note, where do you get those car flags? When I was in Montreal last week I looked but couldn't find them anywhere. I would have thought Boutique at the Bell Centre would sell them.

Boy, Atlanta is sure playing with desperation lately, aren't they?  How many games have they won with third-period comebacks?!  You have to hand it to them; they're not giving up.

I believe you can get them at any Zellars, Canadian Tire or Giant Tiger. Im sure theres at least one of those by you.

I've seen them on ebay also.
