If you were an opposing team playing the habs, what line would you put your checking line out against? Are you more confortable with letting saku work is insane passing skills with Higgins and Ryder, 2 capable snipers, running the wings or do you let Kovalev and Ribiero dangle their ways through your lines and score? Its hard to say, i really dont know who id cover more. Saku can put the puck anywhere he wants and Higgins and Ryder definately can finish, and Kovalev can score any time he wants and has ribs passing skills to compliment him. What would you do?

Good guestion! If I were the opposing team, I would check the hotter line at the time.
For sure Kovalev's line. The Koivu line is incredible, but I think you would need your top checking unit to cover Kovalev alone. You'll notice that 1 on 1 he rarely loses the puck, so it would only make sense to have your best defensive group against him.
I have to agree with the Kovalev line. The teams seem confused about what line to cover right now. But Kovy is our game breaker. The best thing is though, when he feels like it, it doesn't matter who checks him. It could be Gainey and Carbo, and he will still find a way. I remember his first game back from knee surgery, the Sens tried to keep him in check, and I think we all remember what happened.
Regular season the Kovy line, playoffs the Saku line. However, something tells me Kovy and Saku might be on the same line a few games into the playoffs.

I agree, if we don't have a good start, Gainey will place his eggs in one basket again.
I'll end up being Saks, Kovy and Ryder or Higgins.
