How happy I am the Habs went 7-1 against the Bruins this year. This is like the days of yesteryear. Although years ago the rivalry was big around here south of the border. Now, its like Bring on the Sox and Patriots. Any way I am soooo happy we dominated them this year. Now I want the games against Buffalo and especially the Devils who won their 9th.

Glad you're happy, dave!

Going back to the small fonts, I'm totally with you dave!
Living in New England for the past 5 years, and having lots of Bruin fan friends, I'm pretty sure I hate the Bruins more than the Leafs now. Seriously!
Destroying the Bruins has kept me happy for a couple of years now. And the fact that the Laffs are going to miss the playoffs while we get in? Well that's just icing on the cake!
Trust me guys, if you had to hear the way the NESN announcers talk about the Habs you'd begin to take a liking to Glenn Healy. (Did you watch it on NESN tonight dave?)

Funny about the fonts!
I watched the highlights this morning on a Bell Expressvu feed from NESN. Those announcers astound me! I can see why david b hates it. It's like this
1. When the Habs score, the decibel level is about 30% lower than on a routine offside call.
2. When Thomas makes a save, there is so much excitement you would have thought the Bruins had just won in overtime.
3. And when the Bruins score, well, I'm sure the play-by-play guy wets himself. There is more hoo-hah than when Kennedy was shot.
I'm glad I don't have to listen to those guys. Dave, I admire you for putting up with it down there.

What do you want them to do, it is NESN. Come on people !!! Your complaining about NESN, they follow the Bruins for every game and they are supposed to excited about the Habs. Wake up, At least I can be realisitic and realize that they are supposed to favour the Bruins. Not every T.V station has to cater to the Habs but alot people here think that way. Heck, the way I see it, is if you don't like the station then don't watch it. You know NESN, CBC and TSN may favour the other team then the Habs, then watch RDS as the Habs will always be in the spotlight there.

I know what you're saying, Andy (and responded to another post of yours below about TSN). I don't blame announcers who follow a team for favouring their team. (Although the RDS folks, while Hab fans, are more balanced in their analyses.) What I'm saying to david is that I admire him for putting up with it whereas he's a Hab fan in Bruinland.

The only bad thing about last night's win over the balky Bruins is that NESN didn't carry it in our market. They had the Red Sox on instead. And to make matters worse, NHL Center Ice had blacked the game out here because NESN usually carries it. So... I didn't get to see the Habs take out the big, bad Bruins. Luckily, there's always WBZ radio -- where the announcers are only slightly more objective.

Andy,
Has it occurred to you that NESN was my only option without going out to a sports bar? It's not like I can find the game on another channel. I'm still glad to watch the hockey game. I just don't like the announcers.
Anyway, there's partisanship and partisanship. The NESN announcers are worse than any I've ever heard, getting to the point where they start out and out insulting other teams' players during the game. Calling Montreal forwards "clowns" etc... Is Murray Wilson like that on CJAD? No, he has class.
