He would look great in a habs uniform....and think about it...8 games a year vs boston...this guy would be a runaway train in those games!! no stopping him....

Man, thats just an excuse. Saku played with the same rib injury and was profolic in that series. Thornton is still unporven in clutch situations, like all of his international play. Often overlooked was his role in the World Championships.

Thing is, it sounds like Thornton was having back spasms in those games and couldn't tie his own skates. I was just listening to a little blurb about that and the warmer climate is helping.

Also, no one is making excuses. Just saying he was blamed for the two series and he excepted the blame.

Also, the guy's first playoff, he was by no means a veteran and his second, he had back spasms.

I think he needed a change and will continue carrying that team into the playoffs.
