Recall 2 years ago that Koivu-Kovalev-Zednik line was pretty dominate. Even in the Tampa series I thought every time they were on the ice they carried the play( someone on here a while back stated that Montreal got killed by Tampa---I thought all the games were close...if Ribeiro was not such a gimp, we may have done better)
Anyway, now the big line is Koivu-Higgins-Ryder...What is the constant here....hmmmm? That's right...koivu. Higgins is a great player but much of his success comes from playing with such a great player. He will even admit to that.
For this team to be successful...we need a second/first line center. Will Ribby provide in the playoffs....???
i agree, But if the Ribeiro kovalev line plays well, i feel like we can win against any team. We know that Koivu ryder higgins will play well, as they have a good chemistry, a sniper, A set up man and a grinder, But if the Ribs Kovy line comes together.......look out! that line can wreck havoc.
