Thanks for asking Girl!  First show of the season went well - 2 sixths, a fifth, a fourth, 2 thirds, a second and TWO FIRSTS!  Daughter and horses did extremely well and are starting to put fear into the competition out here.  One of the first ribbons was for her first Advanced Open class, meaning everyone competing has won at least 3 firsts in the last show season - the competition was stiffer than she's used to but she beat out 18 other horses and many older riders! 


As a result, we'll be at Thunderbird in Vancouver in July and Spruce Meadows in August. (cha ching) I'll keep you guys posted - Spruce Meadows will definitely be televised (although I haven't told my daughter that yet, it'll scare the crap out of her).


It was a long weekend, one in which my horse Monterey definitely deserved some extra grain last night.  Oh, and licorice and apples too - he's probably stuffed solid but it's well-earned!
