So what is happening with this guy? As far as I know he is dressed for every game, but I almost never hear his name called on the radio. Is he getting any ice time? When he is out there, what is he doing? He was lighting it up during the early part of the season, but when is the last time he got a goal... or even a point? The same can also be said for Plekanec... I really liked him early and I know he is killing a lot of penalties, but does he even play 5 on 5 and how is he when he does?
They have to get Hab's games on the net... this is driving me crazy!

Bulis and Zed sit and the rookie doesn't. I think they're trying to keep Kovy happy.

Perezhogin and Pleakanec team up with Bulis right now to form and energy type line...they are line 3a...with Bonk, Downey and Begin being 3b...

As for both of them they play well but they have no finish, I don't think they've learned how to score at NHL level. At least not with consistency.

But Plekanec is a smart quick player that is responsibly defensively and will benefit next year from this years ice time.

Perezhogin on other hand could be a really good player...the one thing that impresses me is his ability to battle on the boards. It seems like no matter who he is up against he has an 80-90% chance of getting the puck off the other player.

Actually not far from the truth..Kovalev still has an AWFUL lot of say in what goes on with that team..regardless of whether Gainey is coaching or not

This is the difference between him and Petrov, to whom he was compared earlier this season. Perezhogin is strong on his skates and surprisingly tough. He has a future, but I think he has a few mental issues still. Confidence for one thing.

Actually that was I that drew that comparison. You are correct, he clearly has more to offer( he was drafted 25th overall...I don't think Petrov was drafted).

My problem with Perez is he looks stupid out there. Lost even. How long does it take to adjust to the NHL?? He is what...23 years old. Has played one year in Hamiliton and one year in professional hockey in Russia. He actually showed more promise his first year in Hamilton when he scored 25 goals. This year when he was sent down to Hamiliton he played 12 games and I don't think he even scored once.

What is up???

Exactly, he tries to do too much with the puck and he shoots wide a lot....... I guess his sophmore year will be his breakout.
