It seems like when a player has a good game, Gainey then promotes him and changes the line-up. Was it wise to bump Murray up last night? The guy was just getting used to Plecs and Perez and potting a couple goals, then has to adjust again with new mates. It's hard for a player with limited offensive talent to adjust quickly. Murray is a grinder hard nosed type player and was getting into a groove on that line. Last night he was almost not noticable. Now he has to adapt again next game.
Maybe Gainey needs to stop disrupting a line if they play well. I'm glad he's leaving the Higgins line alone.
well not that i disagree with your point, but when you look at the game last night our team as a whole played better then they did on saturday night. each line looked pretty good, gainey probly just wanted bulis with perez and plecs, and the only way to do that without demoting the guy who scored 2 goals (murray) was to move him up and bench zednik who hasn't scored in ???? games.
I really like the Plecs-Bulis-Perezhogin line. If Zednik gets his head screwed on straight, then put Murray back on the 4th and sit Downey. What to do when the Cube gets back? Streit has been playing really well.
I agree! Also, Murray can offer much more than Downey.
