Each member of the first line scored last night. I'm sure someone somewhere has those types of stats, but does anyone remember what was the last time that happenned? (I mean any liine, not just that one.)
And I don't agree with those (Key Lime?) who said Ryder played a poor game last night. I thought he hustled all night, came back from what could have been a brutal knee-on-knee hit, scored a goal in traffic, and had a nifty pass to set up the wining goal. He was named first star, so someone else saw it that way.
For those who complain he's one-dimensional, well, if Huet didn't stop pucks, he doesn't offer much either. If Komisarek didn't hit, ditto. The name of the game is outscoring the opposition, and no one contributes to that more that Michael Ryder. I hope they sign him up for many many years.

Saku played a hell of a game, the best on the ice last night I think and he didn't even get a star, pissed at that..... Happy he's back in the lead for pts for the habbies now. Wow guys sad though our leading point man is Koivu with 57 ? LOL our we last in this category ??? Ya and I don't think Ryder should have gotten the first star, Koivu's goal was awesome while Ryder's ONCE AGAIN , Mr. Garbage man.

I've said it many times - it's not How? but How many?. Garbage goals take brains! You have to have a knack for being in the right spot at the right time. Ryder has that knack - and it's not to be belittled; if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
He was deserving of the first star selection. But I agree Koivu could well have had a star as well. He played awesomely, and as you note now is the Habs' top scorer as well. Can you imagine an amalgam of Saku's heart and Kovalev's skill? What a player that would be!
