By reading this you can really tell just what kind of Sheldon is and the great attitude he brings with him. These kind of guys are great for the locker room.
it's too long to post, but here's a few excerpts from it:
Q: Did you have to deal with any racism growing up as a minority in hockey?
A: I did. I never felt sorry for myself about it. I always just thought the people were ignorant. I had an assistant coach in junior A call me a "dumb Indian" and tell me I would never make it anywhere. That's the one thing that stuck out in my mind, and if I see that guy today, I would still like to crack him over the head.
here's a funny excerpt:
Q: But what happens if she (his daughter) grows up to be a Maple Leafs or Bruins fan?
A: You know, they say you love your kids unconditionally, we all have our faults [laughs]. That's what I tell my dad, he's from Toronto. He always loved the Leafs. Still today, when we play the Leafs, he sits on his hands a bit.
another funny one:
Q: What was your reaction when you found out that Jose Theodore tested positive for a banned substance?
A: I think anyone that has seen Jose in the shower knows this guy has not been lifting weights in the gym, so you figure there's an explanation for it....
You know..the strange thing is, that I did not even realize he was native. Which says alot for the guy. I have always felt he was a class act on and off the ice and I always will. I am proud that he wears a hab uniform.

Neither did I.
All I know is he's an amazing player, he has a slap shot that'll break a shin when hit in the back of the leg & the toughness that the habs need.
With his personal issues aside, the guy is stellar & brings a lot to the table for Montreal.

I always knew he was native, but he never makes a big deal of it or wear his nativeness on his sleeve *.
I find it interesting that both Komisarek and Souray went into funks when they had personal issues (death of Komi's mother, and breakup of Souray's marriage), and both have rebounded admirably afterwards. It says a lot of their character.
* Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I don't watch SNL. That line was said by George and Jerry in Seinfeld. Maybe SNL ripped it off? Or vice versa? Thanks for the wish of long life, by the way.
Ooops... my bad... it is Seinfeld... but I wish you long life anyway! :)

Why does not being obviously native say a lot for the guy? I'm confused...
but I'll let it slide and just remind people that Souray's been maybe our most inconsistent player since we got him (although he has some good excuses).
At the same time, I agree with y'all. The things Souray brings to the Habs are NEEDED: toughness, unselfishness, vision, a great point shot, a good all-around attitude, pride about the uniform. Etc...So here's hoping he keeps up his great play. Just remember to keep those feet moving Sheldon.
