According to TSN, Bulis will be back in the lineup tommorrow against Boston, and Zednik scoreless in his last 13 games will be a healthy scratch. Bulis, who believes he is a top 6 forward will now get his chance to prove to Gainey that he can deliver. Certainly, replacing Zednik at this point is an upgrade. It will be interesting to see if he can mix well with Riberio and Kovalev.
You know, I was thinking of this move before it was posted here. I like it. Zed needs a break. We are all but guaranteed a playoff spot, though as we all know, positions are up for grabs. The Boston games might be the only chance we have to rest players and play Aebi. He needs to get some games in before the playoffs in case (knock on wood) something happens to Huet.
To stay on topic, I thought that Bulis would have been back in a little sooner than he was. It did seem that Zednick was trying harder but we all know everyone (except Jagr) suffers a slump.
bulis is in but not replacing zeds on his line , murry has been promoted to the 2nd line and bulis is taking his spot with plecs and zhogin . but hes in the lineup none-the-less but a day late and a dollar short in my opinion , what gainey doesnt see in him is beyond me , he should be a fixture on a line because he doesnt take a night off , he did take a few pen. recently but who hasnt on this team . rivet and ribs almost cost us a point against the isles but ribs stays in , you cant take rivet out ,to few dmen.

There must be more going on behind the scenes then meets the eye because I agree. If I am coach there is NO way I am sitting Bulis. But obviously there was something said or it became personal between the 2, because I can name at least 3 guys I would take out of the lineup ahead of Bulis right now.

Great news! So happy with that decision, watch the line of Bulis-Ribs-Kovy will produce I'm sure. That damn Zednik ruins all of the plays and goes around the net too much, the one hand wonder, about time that he's in Gainey's doghouse.....
Murray to the second line makes NO sense to me AT ALL. Ya he scored 2 goals in 1 game. Got 1st star and had a really good game, for his type of player, but that in no way deserves a promotion to the 2nd line!! Murray is not a scorer!!! He lucked on the 2nd goal and the first one was thansk to a great pass in my opinion!
Either way, i wont complain if he shows the same effort and bags a couple more. But if he stops producing, gainey better not wait as long to move him back down as he did to sit Zednik!

I think Gainey is looking for a banger to make room and screen the goaie for Ribs and Kovalev. Bulis also has good chemistry with Pleks. And hey, why not give Murray a little reward and remind the team what you can get for a little hard work?

Don't laugh but all I've been hearing in the media is that many people believe Murray game be productive on a skilled line. They think he can be a semi-power forward. The coaching staff is using him this way to see his full potential on a top line. What do you think?

Zednik needs to be scratched, he's playing worse than anyone else on the team, Downey is worth more to the team right now. I'd even rather see Sunny in there instead of Zeds right now. Zed needs to learn how to pass, how to handle the puck with 2 hands as oppose to one lol...... He needs to drive the net and stop worrying about a McLaren hit again and stop going around the net God....

To say that Downey is worth more than Zed right now is a stretch. The only player on the ice who seems out of place is Downey. At times, you can actually see that he can't keep up with the pace and speed. At least Zednik, maintains puck control and he's very hard to get of the puck. Downey isn't very good at cycling the puck in the offensive zone. Zednik is still good at that. Zednik on fourth line, I agree. Downey sits.

Ok I can agree with that, just glad to see Bulis back in. Now if Bouillon can come back.
