Tell me, is there ONE thing that Gainey has done right? Everything he has done seems to be useless to many. Evertything! You mock him by calling him God. Does Gainey portray himself as being the “know it all” to all things? Quite the opposite.


If you hear the players during interviews, it’s all about “us” now and not “me”. We won 6 games in a row, we have a good chance of making the playoffs, we have a chance of matching the same point total as last season (without a goaltender for half the year). As much as I could go on with the positives, I can also go on with the negatives too. BUT there are positives to what Gainey has done…or should I say what GOD has done. Let’s be a little more satisfied with what has happened recently…cause at this moment the “nothing is good enough” attitude is much too evident and annoying!

I'd like to know when the last time the Habs were 11 games above .500. I can't recall, maybe I am mistaken but it must have been in 98 or somewhere around there.


Seems like he is a much better coach then we've had in the past considering he's working with the same talent.

He's not a coach John, he's God remember? 11 games, what's that, not nearly good enough for a team that looked like an AHL team at mid-season. This is the way you have to express yourself on this board sometimes...Johab, not eveyone read your code of conduct it seems...the part you said about this website is for Hab fans and not for people who want to start fires or to provoke other posters. The team has done more than we expected so far. Yet???

It's amazing how a team mentality can change things. These guys want to work for each other and they want to make the playoffs. I wasn't so sure about that last month, but the O-hang is over and the leadership and grit is coming through. We are not in yet, but we should be OK as long as we stay focused. The team gelled through some hard times and that will only serve us well as a young team going into a bright future!

I agree gainey has done well for this organization, The only thing i can say i am really upset about is the fact he is Benching a very good player, probably for very immature reasons!!! Hopefully both can shake it off and get back to whats best for the team

I'm thrilled with this season, a smoking hot start, a lukewarm to cool middle and a finish even hotter than the start, what's not to like? We've got the best goalie in the league right now, we're probably going to get 90-95 points, we're hot heading in to the playoffs and playing like a team. I really get bored by microanalyzing of everything, it's like the micromanagement at work. I say crack a cool one, sit back and enjoy the ride!

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Bulis also. Sounds like there was some issue over whether or not he was committed to the team above his own wants, and I think Gainey is sending a message here. Still, I've always thought Bulis was a good team guy, so I find it hard to take too.
