I never heard of the guy. But I remember Eddie, Mark * and Jim, from the old Red Sox radio broadcasts on WMEX.

Reminds me of the cello player for the late great Harry Chapin (my all-time favourite singer-songwriter). His name was Howie Fields. Harry C would introduce him and say "Howie Fields....... but can he hit?". I thought that was clever.
