How many of you thought that maybe Komi would be a big soft teddy like a Peter Popovic type player?
I'm sure staring to dig this guy! Last night gave me a thought that he has leadership qualities about him.
I remember when we had the Larry Robinson comparisons which I still feel is a huge stretch. If he can play solid while building a reputation that he's tough and will go with anyone, that's a temperment that will comand respect from the opposition for years to come. Even if last night, it was a little premature to drop his gloves, it was the will to do the right thing that excited me.
Actually I started this new thread on the topic that the guy lost his Mom and is mature enough to have it inspire him.

Brilliant AB. I was trying to figure out how a guy with Komi's size could be such a wuss. Petr Popovic never crossed my mind but...ya.
But after last night...I see glimpses of a tougher than nails competitor...with a little more seasoning and confidence, maybe Komi will turn into a solid top 2-3 D-man.
