Could anyone imagine this guy's ability to play??? He is a natural, accentuates Koivu's abilities and stickhandles almost like a magician. This will be the core of the Canadiens for years to come, and i'll write it in stone...He will be Captain of the Canadiens in the future. Higgins is the second most pleasant surprise this season, after Huet! Keep it up Chris, thats 10 goals in the last 16 games !

Agree fully, Saku11.
And is it coincidence that the improved play of your namesake has coincided with the recent increase in the offensive output of his two linemates, Higgins and Ryder? I think not.
(Not a word from And-o or Ab Habman of late (nor you either ), so he must be doing something right. He even had eight shots on goal last night! )

Your right Nil...Koivu's play of late has lifted his linemates or the other way around, his linemates play has lifted Koivu's play...Which ever way you look at it, it certainly benefited all three in that line. Higgins has become a cornerstone on this team and he definately reminds me of a Young Brian Bellows. Good stick handler, Quick on his skate, and always dangerous.(notice how i said young Brian Bellows) hopefully he will sign a lifetime contract with the habs!!
The great thing is so many of our young players and prospects are such great character guys as well. Garth Murray, Chris Higgins, Kyle Chipchura, Mike Komisarek, even Steve Begin is not that old.
All can be considered as potential heirs to Koivu's Captaincy. Obviously not all of them will be captain, but all of them will lead in their own way.
I think this is a good post for #100, took me long enough.
Ya what a great asset for the habs this year. Beautiful goals/shorties ..... He does it all. He's got some grit too. I really like Higgins best draft pick in awhile. He's an amazing forecheck/2 way player and it seems like he has infinate endurance.

I couldn't access the site for a while???
But I agree with you guys. Higgins has lit a fire under that line. He is the best stick handler on that line and can start a play or finish one. Really good hands. Can shoot, pass, check or lay the body. whatever it takes!
