Honestly, Bob Gainey needs to not be such a pigheaded mule!!!  It is a miracle that the Habs escaped with the win last night.


And-o found himself pleading to Bob (by yelling at the TV) last night to yank Abby after the 3rd goal...then again after the 2nd period...then again after the 4th goal...then again after the 5th goal...then again after losing his stick (in his own net mind you)...then again after falling across his crease while stacking the pads for an imaginary shot!


This guy looks like he needs directions to his own net!  Cripes...just give this guy a dribble bib and a sippy cup to play goal!!!  What a useless sack of wet hammers he is!!! 


Can you say choke artist...better yet...can you say W-A-I-V-E-R-S (hopefully as in, BYE-BYE)?

I tried posting the same thing about Bg making a big mistake playng abby. If we lost those two points last night it would have been all BGs fault  hes stuborn and very lucky we won. After i posted my posts   people resoponded that Huet is not good back to back    I said   WHAT I am only a fan for over 30 years with an opinion. My opinion last night was that BG made a big mistake. I am sorry I was so right about Abby. I think danis needs to be brought up and Abby sent down for RECONDITIONING

As far as Huet not being good back to back...has he ever played as bad as Aebischer? Aebischer is playing so bad that I'm not only getting warm fuzzies for Theo but I'm thinking Steve Penney may not be too old yet I've said it before and I'll say it again, Aebischer is playing some of the worst goal I've EVER seen a pro goalie play and there's no excuse for that. New town, yes...same size net and same shooters though. Hopefully he'll find is game...but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

He made a few good saves,but the puck may just have hit him.  He was very shaky and his rebound control looks like Theodore's.

they should of traded Theodore for someone like Tanguay, Abby is playing like crap, he has let in alteast 5 goals in each of his 3 games with the habs. I think he belongs in the bush leagues.

Diehard, you must be diehard if you think there was even a sniff of that happening.  I don't think they actually "wanted" Abby, he was just the return on the salary dump.


As for the BG whiners - you're arguments are useless because the gamble worked (barely...whew!).  Abby greased a win and Huet got a well deserved rest.  Not making excuses for David "Swiss Cheese" Aebischer, but the Habs played like dogsh*t last night.  You must realize that 12 games in a row is going to be a long haul for a tender, especially an inexperienced NHL goalie like Huet.  Notice that he got the start against the worst team in the league?  I'm pretty sure that we'll Huet will play the remainder of the season and into playoffs.

Why is it that Gainey is smart for letting Bonk play thru his confidence crisis but not the same for Abby?

Bonk playing bad is just non goals. Abby playing is letting in goals and we lost

It was more important for Huet to get the rest. There's only one more time that the Habs play back-to-back. Besides, it's hard to pull a goalie when the team never fell behind.

If anyone else had been backing up Abby, then I would've said "pull him". Huet needed to rest.

I agree, as much as I'd prefer Huet to play all of the games, I just don't think he's an ironman goalie.  Better to roll the dice with Aebischer every 4 or 5 games and try to keep Huet as fresh as possible...I just hope they do it in games that aren't telivised in my area

Huna, you gotta subscribe to RDS, bro.


I think Huet is going to close out all of the games this season.  He is just too good and every game is a biggie.  Can't roll the dice on Abby anymore.

You betchya, I signed up for RDS last Sunday.  Not a bad deal really, I had to buy Cogeco's "Franco Pack" but it's only $6.99 a month...best 7 bucks I've ever spent
