Do any of you recall a little earlier in the year Souray got suspended for fighting with his wrist brace on?  Last night he got into another fight, and I noticed that he was wearing the brace.  As soon as he hit the box he threw his left glove on to cover up the brace.  I think it was a smart way to get himself out of a potentially bad situation.  I would hate to lose him right now.

souray wasnt suspended FOR fighting with a brace on his wrist. It is that it appeared the brace had somehow cut whoever it was he was fighting ( im not sure how, its a material brace...soft, not plastic ) but a rule states it a player is somehow cut by a brace during a fight, the person wearing the brace is automatically suspended. This time, no cut, and sourays brace didnt touch the guy...stupid rule if you ask me...its not like souray is fighting USING his brace to hit the guy?

I stand corrected.  I did forget about that, but the guy he fought last night did have a small cut the size of a nickle on his face.  I just though it was funny how fast he put his glove on in the box.

I remember that game, cause I was at that one.  Montreal vs. Calgary and it was Darren McCarty that got cut.


Interesting stat on Souray...a team low -10.
