Also for Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary's sake. And it isn't a long shot. They lose 2 or 3 games and they are looking up from 9th or 10th place.

Colorado should just make the playoffs, their tied for 3rd in the West right now with Calgary but the Flames have a game in hand. Gotta give them credit though, without Svatos, Tanguay, Vaananen, Konowalchuk...... My dream is to see Colorado vs Montreal for the Stanley Cup Finals

I really hope that Theo when he gets back can own for the Avs in the playoffs!

Other than Sakic, I don't really like the Avs at all. I am actually hoping that they don't make the playoffs. I really, really hope that Theo falls flat as well.

I know that you like the Avs, but that is just my take on them!!!!

The Avs have always been my 2nd favorite team, and so I would really like to see them make it, along with the Kings, who I also support. But it's gonna be a tight race it seems.

The Avs are the reincarnation of the NORDIQUES. They are the team that gave us Jocelyn Thibault. Hello?

That's like cheering for whatever team the Laffs morph into when the franchise has to get moved due to bankruptcy.

I suppose it does help that they are eating Theo's salary, but seriously.

Well, given that I'm only 16 it's hard for me to have experienced the rivalry with the Nordiques much. So I've always liked Colorado and always will. But I don't believe it makes me any less of a Habs fan. That rivalry has died off mostly, it seems.

Well that tells you my age...The Nordiques were truly the enemy back in the day. They were the ultimate Hab-burners (anyone remember brutal 84?). But we got revenge in 93.

Anyway, it probably has a lot to do with the fact that Toronto was so bad in the 80s we found other teams to hate.

I suppose the Avs deserve their own identity after two cups. At least they have Sakic. He's great.

Anyway, as long as the Avs are your SECOND favourite team Jedah, no issue for me. Second favourite teams are just not that important, at least in my books. I don't even know what my second favourite team is.

I remember the Nordiques/Habs rivalry (add Roy and Thibault to the mix) to enjoy Colorado's success. I do love Sakic, and we all know my affinity for Theo, but that's where that ends for me.

Second favourite teams...hmm. I guess I'd have to say the Canucks as I am within their stomping grounds...wait - that's another reason for me to not like Colorado! Unless they're playing our boys. With the new NHL schedules, it'll be two more years before our guys come back out here to the Garage though.

Well I'm a huge fan since '96 that huge trade. I love Roy so and my 2 favorite players in the league are Super Joe and Peter the Great so ya..... How can you say that Sakic is all they have, saw their big win tonight without their leader scorer Svatos and leading point getter Tanguay. Man I love my Avs, so happy I saw the game on TSN

Oh btw I own 3 Colorado jerseys Kariya (alternate jersey, 3rd), Sakic and Forsberg.
