I'm pretty sure that Abby will get the start tonight. I'm betting with the passion we've shown during these last two games, Abby will pick up where Huet has left off.

Predicted score = 4-2 Habs

Im hoping Abby gets the start tonight too. As much as he has already made it hard for me to like him, i believe he still deserves a few more whacks at it. Get us a win tonight and i will feel a bit better. Lose, and i almost guarentee a comeback from my doghouse will be impossible.

I'd prefer to see Huet continue to start, the guy is in the zone and I'd hate to mess with that. Start Abby if Christo cools of or we get a 5 point cushion. These games are way too important to screw around trying to fit a new goalie in...the team will likely play tighter in front of Abby after his two less than stellar outings. Their very confident in Huet's ability to bail them out, stick with the hot hand!

Kahuna, I agree.  Don't mess with what is already proven.  Our record against the Penguins is less than stellar, and we need to start feeling a little more comfortable.  The team plays confident with Huet in goal.

With the spark we've shown these last two games, catching Jersey isn't out of the question.  Play Huey until he tires - the guy is so confident in net and looks unflappable.

Anyone see Huet almost jump into the scrum behind the net last night? He already had his blocker off and was on his way, but the ref said its better if you stay out. Thank god too, we dont need Huet pulling a Chara and hurting his hand in some dumb fight.

I agree that he chose wisely staying out...but still it was great for team unity to see he wanted in the mix

Telqvist started on his way down their also. That would have been the iciing on the cake to see him go down too!

I'm glad Huet listened & backed off, we don't need our star getting hurt now do we?

If Gainey starts Abby then he did not learn his lesson the last time. We need these two points and if we lose with Abby in the net then BG is stupid

If not tonight then sometime soon Abby is gonna have to get a start or two.  Its just too many games too close together for Huet to play them all, especially when he has never been a number one goalie.

Huet's early season injury was a blessing though as he didn't face many shots not even in practice till late november, that should give him some relief in the fatigue dept, but i still say he is gonna need a rest soon.  Give Abby a game tonight against a "weaker" opponent because it is better to have Huet 100% down the stretch.

That's exactly why I think Abby might get the start. It's not that I want him too, (it's still to close to take the chance) but if Huet doesn't rest at least one game over this week of craziness, he'll tire & we just can't have that.

The Pens are probably the best ones to put Abby up against for now.

LOL Yep, that was I!!! The only reason I say to start him is because we need to start him @ least once or Huet will tire.

Who better to start him against then the last place team. I hope (with everything in my soul) that Abby's ready to join the teams recent fiery.

I believe he's ready to turn over a new leaf... (excuse the pun) lmao

I have another reason for choosing his start to be against pittsburgh.  I want to know what Abby is made of.  When his job in Colorado was challenged earlier in the year he started playing great in January - February for the AVs.  He was embarassed last time against the Pens, i'm betting he will put in a good showing tonight to prove he wants a shot at being number 1 next fall.

no, it didnt say why if was scratched, or if it was a healthy scratch or if he's injured. my guess is he must be hurt and need a game to rest. it was great to see ribs show an aggressive side last night, but i'm sure all that scrapping took its toll on his 140 lb frame.

Pitt is always a tough team against the habs especially with Crosby being a fan growing up and  Leclair a known Hab Killer. I thought it would of made more sense to start him at home VS Isles...On the road is not a good place right now for Aeby.

He started twice @ home & failed miserably.... maybe a road game is what he needs.

We can hope anyways.

Abby looks a bit shakey, but with our "speed" coupled with our "shooting", we'll get-er-done.

Higgins & Bonk, yer awesome!

Abby looks more confident and loose, while he is getting in front of the puck his rebound control is down right scary...but the boys are clearing the rebounds so far.

DUMB penalty by Kovalev. Good thing the PK is still hot.

Montreal a much better team than Pittsburgh that period, as they should be.

Crosby whining a lot. Hey kid, you're giving my hometown a bad name! Just keep quiet, you're not Gretzky yet.
