I'm taking a chance here but I'll say it, Sundin is a solid leader and hockey player. The guy tried his best without the horses to help him. He was gritty tough and still managed offense. He does alot for his team. He had the never say die attitute tonight. He didn't quit.
He's the only player on that side that I kind of feel sorry for missing the playoffs. On a team dessimated with injuries and talent, he has had a good season while many guys like O'Niel has dogged it. He also missed alot of hockey with the eye injury.
With Sundin, it's easy to hate the jersey but respect the player wearing it.
He's a great player and a great leader, like him or not.
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him in a Leafs uniform. He wouldn't be the first former Leafs captain to play for the Habs. I loved Gilmour's run with the Tricolor.
He played about 4 years with Jonas Hoglund as one of his wingers. Some others with Sergei Berezin, I mean Montreal fans can guess what kinda help those two gave him.
