What intro do you think CBC will have for tonight's game? Listening to Team990 on Friday morning, Denis Casavant thinks CBC will go with a Toronto slant .. it's do or die.

I can see Cherry draping himself around the Leafs fans, who made the trip. Funny on how it's easy for Toronto get access to our arenas eh?

BTW, I will not be goiong down tonight. But will issue another blog by Sunday.

I'm a little worried too, but let's look at this as yet another opportunity to humiliate the Leafs.
I bet most Leafs fans picked the Habs to miss the playoffs, and for Belfour to take the Laffs to the quarter finals at least.

I thought the Leafs came out of the gate really strong, but their goalie, Telquist hasn't look great. Christo has looked solid so far though! I'm just amazed that Quinn doesn't have the sense to try Aubin...but good for us I guess!

Is that he is usually right. Did anyone else notice that Ron Mclean gave Quinn like a 7 minute opening segment interview and that some no name (who I really like because he dpes some work for ESPN radio) gave Gainey about 90 seconds? Even when it was 5-2 Bob and Neale were like "it's not over 'til the over the hill annoucer sings". And Didn't you love how Kovalev smashed Tucker? I'd love to lay one of those on....

Nah, they were both throwing elbows and it's not like Kovy is a goon who gets suspended every other week. If he does get suspended it should only be one game...especially because it was Tucker, I mean come on, who hasn't wanted to do that to Tucker

Look carefully, prior to Kovalev's forearm getting Tucker, Tucker missed Kovy with an elbow. Now that was a deliberate attempt to injure. The refs missed it. As did Tucker.

I do NOT expect Kovy to be suspended.

Just an aside, Kovy is a big guy, and last Thursday he nearly ran over me in the dressing room. There was a scrum of reporters and i was in the middle and Kovy entered the dressing room making way to his locker and I was in his path. Yikes I said!

I am basking in the glow of back to back victories but must confess your opening post captured my same beliefs. It sounds crazy but it seems to me Leafs often get power-plays against the Habs until they're ahead and then a couple of even up calls get thrown the Habs way.

However an honest assessment of last night would indicate a fairly called game.

Bob Cole verbalizes every event in favour of the Leaf until the replay shows otherwise which instigates a quick verbal correction.

And it looks like Cherry is finally getting an ugly on about Leaf management.

& it's about time for both. A fairly called game & for Cherry to make that realization about the Leafs.

If you look closely enough to the picture of Tucker & Kovy, it looks like a wrist & not an elbow.
