With games on hand, most of our schedule at home, and most of our opponents being non-playoff teams we still have strong control of our own destiny. I watch the scoreboard as much as anyone, but in reality it is up to this team to do their own job, if they do that, everything else will fall into place.
NJ had me worried for a while, but they were wretched last night. Brodeur has lost it. Let's hope he keeps up his abysmal play.
FLA, on the other hand, could be a concern. Luongo is outstanding and is winnning games by himself. I wouldn't be surprised if both the Habs and FLA make the playoffs...
I honestly think if were gonna make the playoffs, we'll be kicking out New Jersey. Atlanta is playing like they want to be in the playoffs...and Montreal and Jersey are kind of in the same boat, not playing the greatest hockey as of late...
example.....montreal losing to Pitts and Isles......Jersey losing a 5-1 lead against a team fighting...that would be like the habs giving up the lead against the leafs lastnight. We need big wins from here on in, and if we lose, we lose to teams either alot higher in the standings, or lower. No teams like the Devils and Leafs should be beating us at this stage.
