Let's clarify the Bonk issue here...

And-o was absolutely giddy about the addition of Radek Bonk to Montreal's roster.  Radek offers up size and reasonable skating coupled with previous offensive success in Ottawa.  In fact, at the start of this season And-o predicted that Radek would be the teams 2nd line centre by mid-October...and possibly the 1st line centre by Remembrance Day (mid-Nov). 


However, never once did And-o tout Radek Bonk as "the saviour" of the Habs.  Nor did I even once consider Radek as being anything close to the ideal solution for filling the role of #1 centre!  Instead of a "Mr. Right" for the role...And-o viewed Radek as "Mr. Right now".


Clearly...Bob has had different expectations for Radek Bonk...and Radek has played wayyyy below everyone's expectations offensively...but he sure fits the bill defensively, especially since Bob/Carbo took over!


So...in the end...And-o has been dead wrong about Radek being elevated to the #1 line in Montreal...but portraying And-o as such a MEGA Bonk worshipper is just plain misrepresenting the truth (which undoubtedly has grown to become the standard response to And-o's "Saku Bashing")!!!


...anyway...And-o is willing to take another chance on virtually any other big centreman in the NHL if it means the Habs stop needing to scrap for every single point!

Bonk has not met expectations this season, but his defensive play of late has made me a Bonk fan!!

 Really good post And-o! I also out of desperation was hoping for hand on the first line but at least like you say Bonk does make a difference out there!

I think we would've been better off with Perrault.

This is all very heartwarming And-o, but if you want any sympathy you'd best end your own practices of exaggerating other people's claims.

How many of your posts present the so-called views of others on this board as a total cartoon of what they really are?
