1. Stay out of the box, 5 on 5 they are terrible. They can only score on the PP.
2. Get traffic in front of Tellqvist, he has difficulty when there is traffic around him.
3. Use team speed to burn the slow Leafs d-men.
4. Force the 4 of the Leafs D (Richardson, Berg, Khavanov & whoever they decide to use as their #6 either Belak or Bell). Trap when Kaberle & McCabe are on, they'll burn you with the long pass.
5. SHOOT THE DAMN PUCK!
If the Habs do this, they SHOULD take 4 points from the Leafs no problem. Being in Toronto, I see the Leafs alot. I was at the game last night, they got very lucky vs. Carolina (3 PP goals). 5 on 5 the Leafs are weak & thin.
How can anyone tell???? Who is going to show up??? This team is truly Hopeless and leaderless....yeah we win a couple of games, but so does Washington and St louis
It will depend on the officials on how well we can stay out of the penalty box. The officials have been very biased toward the Leafs as of late. Boston found out the last time they played the Leafs. The fate of the Habs is in their own hands, all we can do is watch, pray and support them.

& also, maybe play a little rougher. The Leafs tend to get focused on the roughness & less on the game when they are being pushed around. I've seen it all to many times this year. The Leafs are playing well during a game... someone starts to rough them up... the Leafs lose their marbles & go on the rough revenge instead of the shoot & score.
I don't even think we need to flatter the leaves and break it down on how to beat them. I don't think they are that good a team and I truly believe that our club is better. We're at home, so come storming out of the gates and play with passion and we will win.

Well the Leafs might not be a great team, but they are playing like they want to make it to the playoffs. Look @ last nights game for example. Car. is in 2nd place in their conference & the Leaf's beat them. Granted, they only seem to score on the PP.
A strategy going into the game is necessary, regardless of how they are playing. Flattery or not..... a game plan is never a bad idea. Staying outta the box is another good suggestion for us, refs seem to favor the Leaf's constantly.
So much for th first 3 ways to beat them. We only score on the PP, we never get traffic in front of the net, and I think we have forgotten that we have team speed...
I rest by my predicition. If we lose these two games to the Leafs, the playoffs are going to have wait until next year. We win and the Leafs are out. Let's finish them off!
I agree 24...The leaves are below mediocre this year and have caught a few breaks with officiating as of late. The habs need Kovalev to step up and play his best game...Souray needs to lace them from the point with screens in front...Begin has got to hit hit and hit...Saks has got to be the playmaker and set up a couple of goals...Ryder Ribs and everyone else needs to pitch in as Saks said in the locker room no PASSENGERS.. GO HABS

GO HABS Did Saks really say this? Sounds like hypocrisy.
Sounds like the kind of stuff a captain is supposed to say. What do you want? For him to step down as captain? Sheesh. Get another topic, dude.
All this talk about the leaves and the Thrashers for the playoff race, but has anyone noticed Florida lately? They have been quietly playing some great hockey and are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and have beaten some quality opponents in that stretch (Carolina twice and Ottawa). They have won 7 of their last 8 games. Only 1 point back of the leaves and 4 back of the Habs. It looks to me like there are several teams who want it more the Habs, right now.
