I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a win (COuld i predict anything else?) I'll go with 4-1 Habs. the Two long Island Kids play great, Higgs with two goals and Komi with many chances adds his second goal of the season.

1-1 After one. Streit of all people scores on a 5 on 3. I have to say how disappointed I have been the last 2 games that there is STILL no sense of urgency from the Habs...you would think that it was October and not March in a playoff race. Streit scores tonite, last game guys like Komisarek and Dandeneault..once again..where the heck are our "go to players"?!???

They appear to have "gone to" somewhere else...............

Good news from Beantown, however: Broons leading Atlanta 2-0 after one.

Good news nilsey..one of the few times I am cheering for the B's. There is a positive spin on guys like STreit and Komo scoring..it is nice to get contributions from unexpected sources sometimes

The night that the Bruins and Islanders could have been buried, the two teams that desperately needed the points come out flat. Pathetic.

Darn right pathetic, this team lacks skill, heart and some urgency.   Where is this speed I keep hearing.  Every time we went down the ice, it was 2 on 5.  When the Isles came down on us it was usually a 3 on 2.  Defenseman back too far lately.  And where the hell has Koivu been,  I could name more, but right not i'm furious beyond words.

I just don't understand, maybe these guys are no better than the Pens and Caps, maybe if they played with some passion like most of the people on this board, they would win some more games, especially right now.

Wake up guys, you play for the Habs, or does that not mean anything to you guys!  Man, tonights game was downright terrible, awful, embrassing and whatever else people can come up with.  Thanks for letting me vent, good night all, hate going to bed pissed!

............... except that Atlanta scored twice late in the third to tie it up.  So right now we are tied for eighth place - at best.

Come on boys, here we are in the playoff run. They had lots of chances, but once again our million dollar babies can't put the puck in the net.  Surprise Surprise...an average goalie stands on his head.  I'm getting tired of this lack of effort they are showing there fans.  Look up at the scoreboard guys, ya have the leafs winning and the thrashers making a game in Boston.....what goes through there minds when they see the out of town board.  I have soooo much i want to say to vent out but i guess i'll just read everyone else's comments, i'm sure we all agree on tonights performence.

oh yeah, please put Cote in there instead of Streit, i don't care if he scored tonight.

frustration all around I see.  Justified too.  Some might say that true fans would stick with the habs too the bitter end .... but I wouldn't say that.  Why should anyone cheer for a team of underperforming slackers just because the are wearing the bleu-blanc-rouge?

Sadly, who's accountable?  Gainey and Carbo obviously , Koivu and Kovalev definitely, (Theo too, but he's gone now).

What can you do when the braintrust and the stars are all dogging it?

I don't know. But cheering and rooting for a bunch of guys who are totally messing up doesn't seem right.

well it has already been said but i'm saying it again......where is the freakin effort.  all game long not one player was even skating out there tonight, absolutely pathetic.  we win one game against the caps and we deserve a night off to just go for a skate???

this is a playoff race and we are running the wrong way.  if we play the way we did tonight against the leafs you can bet they will beat us too.

man gainey better bust into them tonight after the game....i haven't been a koivu basher but man he has got to lead this team somehow, he is unfortunatley not the only so called leader that is playing awful.

its the guys that aren't supposed to carry this team that are trying the most out there.

get it together guys or see ya on the links!

Disgraceful game. Most depressing of the whole season for me.

So basically it comes down to the next two games really. They have to kill the Leafs or the season's over. I'm not optimistic at the moment, because if the team rallied the other night, the effect sure wore off quick.

No excuses for Saku, Kovy, Zednik, etc...coming from me. The whole lot of 'em deserve a benching. Don't know where to start. Problem is, if you benched one, you'd have to bench the rest since they weren't any better. Maybe Huet was better. That's about as far as I'll go.
