Wow, they lost 3 games so away with them!

Seems to be the popuular type of topic these days...

We should just forfeit the season, as well, and avoid the agony! Chicken Little was right...

Hahaha... How true you are.

Lord, is it that hard for people to stick by their team till the last game of their season is played, regardless of how they are playing???? A true fan does, a bandwagon jumping fair-weather fan doesn't. One type is real & one type is fake..... You decided which you are.

(Hey Brooklyn... is that where you live? is it your actual name? or is it just a name you liked? The reason I ask is because our 10 yr old daughters name is Brooklyn & I haven't heard of too many people with that name before. There have been kids named that after my daughter was born, but I've only heard of one famous adult.... either way, Great Post!)

That was sarcasm Girl. Most of us will never abandon the Habs, regardless of their play

No worries, I'm not speaking of anyone in particular. I'm just acknowledging the "fans" that mope around, boo the players & stop following their team because of their less than desired ranking.

I know of quite a few "fans" (online & offline) that do not feel the same way you & I do.

I would never abandon the Habs.

I don't think that many of the posters on this site would either. You can tell it's a love / hate relationship with many of them. How's the zipper?

Naaa, I don't watch much soccer & their kid is younger than mine is.

It's a weird story behind how she got that name, but, in the end... it suits her well.

Hahaha... Ok. Ok.

I loved the name Brooke & the name Lynn (along with other names) throughout my entire pregnancy, but my hubby hated both of those names with a passion. He only hated those two names, not any others that I had suggested to him. He was fixed on some ridiculous names that I could never agree to. (i.e. Robin, Roberta, Robbie ..... Can you guess his name?) Anyway, we ended up agreeing on the name Brittany & kept it a secret from everyone. (but I still loved Brooke & Lynn)

Well I had been in hard labor for almost 24 hours so the radio in the birthing room was on low to entertain those who were there to watch me suffer. The Anesthesiologist came in & gave me 2 shots of Nubian (Demerol & Gravol mixed) which didn't help my labor progression or my pain. So then he proceeded to give me an Epidural (a needle in the spine). Well once that happened, she was born within minutes.

Everything happened so fast... I was soooo stoned from the Demerol, I couldn't feel from the waist down due to the Epidural, I was sooo hungry & thirsty & they wouldn't let me eat or have a drink. (only ice chips) I begged my hubby to go buy me a Chocolate Popsicle @ 5:00am on a Sunday morning, during the winter & after zero sleep in over 24 hours. Obviously, he had trouble finding one & took a bit too long to get back to my room.

What I remember is.... about 1/2 an hour or so after he had left, some nurse came flying in the room asking me to name my baby now. Stoned & confused I tried to remember the name we had agreed to prior. Apparently just then the song "No sleep till Brooklyn" started playing on the radio in my room.... & with the names Brooke & Lynn being such a big issue with us, the name Brooklyn rang a bell & rolled off the tongue. She asked if I was sure that was the name we both had agreed on & I snapped  "YES", I think I know what name we talked about. She left & I fell asleep.

The next day when I woke, Rob was sitting beside me holding her. I asked him how he liked being a new dad to Brittany... laughingly he replied with "Did you have 2 babies?" I said  "Ummmm. No" .. he replied with "Then I don't like being a New Dad to Brittany". Once he saw that I was on the brink of bawling.... he showed me the carbon copy of her Birth Certificate application form that the nurse had left on my nightstand along with other documents. Then he proceeded to tell me what happened.

He saw the carbon copy @ about 10am & asked the nurse about it. The nurse started to laugh & said "I asked her if she was sure that that was the name you & her both agreed to.... I saw how stoned she was & I heard the song "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" playing on the radio..... but she said you most certainly did agree to the name Brooklyn & to leave her (meaning me) be so she could sleep"

We could have legally changed it to Brittany after the ministry received the application, but with a story like that to tell.... who would want too. When you look @ her she doesn't look like a Brittany @ all... she's definitely a Brooklyn.

Whew.... Done!
