ST-GEORGES, Que. -- A player for the St-Georges CRS Express of the North American Hockey League was killed Thursday in a car accident.
Provincial police said Jonathan Delisle was killed in an accident involving a car and a tow truck on highway 173, in the Beauce region south of Quebec City.
Delisle, 29, was a fourth-round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 1995 and played one game with the team in the 1998-1999 season.
Two other players, Frederic Vermette and Carl Paradis, were injured in the accident.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash.
