Simple question...are you you out of your minds? This is a well-oiled machine we saw tonight. They kill you slowly. They wait for their chances and they DON'T MISS. Their strongets assest = pateince. They have to be the most exhausting team in the NHL to play against.

How can we even dream of meeting these guys in the first round, in a 7 game series, and expect to win?

Lastly, on behalf of Aebischer "I would like to say thank you to every player in this dressing room for giving the Canes target practice tonight".

P.S. Someone tell BG to take Ryder off the Koivu line...not to give all the blame to Ryder but "Come On!". How much patience can you have with a player during a playoff race.

One positive = Ribeiro's assist from his knees on the Dandenault goal...

OK, we did get beat by a way better team. The thing that gets me are the posters that say how great Saks is because he works hard. I appreciate a hard worker also but one that can be effective. Ribs at least will give you a flash of skill every once in a while with something that is at least a little exciting to watch.

Key Lime- I agree. Abby got PEPPERED with 41 shots. And if you look at them, 75% of them weer on the doorstep. The score should have been about 8-1 The habs do not even deserve to be on the same ice as the Canes, the difference is THAT evident. When Doug Weight was available many posters claimed he was washed up and it would be a joke to sign him. The last laugh appears to be on Jim Rutherford. At least he made a move!

is it really a case of the canes being that good ....or the habs  being that bad....i'm looking at the habs roster and to me it looks awsesome ...these guys with there speed ,should be beating up on teams....the only thing i can figure is that there must be a bad apple (KOVALEV) or two in the dressing room .Never seen the game last nite... seen the highlights, i got sick ,(the sick you feel when THE LAFFS win ),you guys know what i'm talking about. So i don't think it's them being a better team (THE CANES). They just need a good spanking(THE HABS) ,games i've watched ,the habs don't play for 60 minutes specially kovalev, and others they need to be sent to shawshank for a wakeup call  kovalev, ryder(and i still like ryder) koivou, sourey send them to the MINORS.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  zip-a-de-do-da ......

Does anyone besides me think that maybe were not that quick of a hockey team.  Man for man the canes are way quicker.  In my opnion the habs are one of the slower teams in the league or aren't giving it their all.  Just don't know

The habs a re a very fast team, it just isnt as evident right now because the entire league is faster being the clutching and grabbing has almost been put to rest. The reason Carolina is so fast is they have 2 people attacking the puck at all time. Its almost a zone defense followed by a 2 man forecheck. The players are pressured every time they touch the puck and have to make quick decisions and when they make the wrong one, Carolina gets a scoring chance. Very basic and easy and when played well, its very hard to stop. Carolina i think is the team to beat in the playoffs. They've even had Ottawa's # this year...

For the record, I mentioned earlier that we DO NOT want to play Carolina.  They are 4-0 against us this year and have outscored us 25-9.  Thats 6.25 goals a game!!!!

If we play Carolina 1st round, I think she's gonna be a sweep or out in 5.  If we even make the play-offs.  We have NO CHANCE against the Hurricanes - sorry to not be positive but it's the reality.  Chances are a little better against the Sens, as we can and have taken a few games from the Sens. Hopefully we would have a big Habs contingent in the stands at the away games in Ottawa.

Didn't get to see the whole game last night, but from what I did see it looks like we got taught another lesson by the best team in the game.  A lot of mixed reviews on here about Abescher - I think I'll wait till the next one to pass judgement.
