Just watched the game on tape. I don't have much more to add than already stated by this board's smart family.
Just one additional thought though, was that I loved the way Souray sent a message on that late after the whistle shot by Moore. That's why I like the toughness of Souray. Huet is now important and any disrespect at their number one goalie won't be tolerated!

Extactly, it almost became embarassing at on point. Our goaltenders were being pummled and the Hab players would just look away and skate back to the bench. It's all about performance and winning. The players had lost confidence in Theo and with his sizwe, he's the type of goalie that needs the most protection. I'm having a good time seeing Souray and Rivet play hard and tough. Hopefully we get to see tnat tonight from Simpson.
Simpson definitely has a nasty streak and he is a big boy, but he's a marginal NHL defenseman. Had to watch this guy struggle in Calgary for a couple of years, while wearing the C no less (very lean years for the Flames). He couldn't even crack the line-up on an awful Chicago blueline.
I just hope no one is expecting a saviour - this guy is an insurance policy if anyone goes down with injury. He does toughen up our blueline, but I would rather play any of our usual suspects back there.

Me too, I would rather see Streit or Coté but I'm curious to see what he's made of.
never seen the guy play.....but if gainey can turn the habs around like he has ,he must have seen something in this guy that he likes, and turn him around....would it be sourey-simpson(THE TWIN TOWERS ) together lol
