Calling out all out-of-Town Habs Fans
Permalink Closed

I was at yesterday's game. I was also at the last To-Mtl game in Mtl. (Jan 21st). In the January game, the ACC rocked all night with "GO HABS" chants. Last night was just the opposite, despite the fact that Habs fans were everywhere. You could hear a pin drop.

It's this time of year when the Habs need their out-of-town fans to step up and give them that boost. They are at the end of a long road swing. The players are tired. Many came straight from the Olympics. I figured that, after the Habs scored the game's opening goal, that the fans would show some support. I was wrong.

I lost my voice last night. This morning, I have to be in Court.

It's time for all out-of-town Habbies to scream, yell, and waive flags. Don't underestimate the power of fan support.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!

You have to be a little subtle with the Rangers fans, though, or you get pushed in the urinals during intermission..

Yes Jonny it was quite their last night.  One thing for sure I can't get used to these Tuesday and Thursday meetings between the buds and habs.  Just didn't feel normal.  Did you see all the celebrities there last night.  A game in TO is nothing like in Montreal, the atmosphere is way different. Another thing i noticed, my seats were in the 300 section, theres even suits up there now.  I've been to see the Habs four times this year, twice in To and twice in Buffalo, my record is 1-3 and its even worse over the years of going to Montreal where the leafs have dominated my visits.  I think the last time I've seen them win against TO live was the last game between the Buds and Habs at the Gardens and Stephane Quintal scored the game winner.  I'm going to see both games in two weeks in Montreal against the buds, my fortunes have to turn.  Please because I'm getting sick of going to work the next day and getting torn a new a@#

Ray, you make a very good point. The January game that I attended was on a Saturday night. In any event, it shouldn't make a difference. I'll bet that the phone booth rocks no mattery which day the game is played (in fact, I've been there for a Mechant Mardi game and the crowd was wild -- the Molson girls help).

You're right, too many suits at the ACC. However, that means that there are less ppl to drown out the Habbies.

Too many suits in MSG. too. It's ridiculous. the only people you see down the $175 seats are Lawyers, spoiled rich kids and Tim Robbins
